We expect our therapists and coaches to uphold high standards, but sometimes your expectations may not be met. This can happen for a few reasons. Often, issues can be discussed and worked through together. Here are a few things to look out for and practical steps you can take.
- Look for red flags Be aware of red flags such as frequent cancellations, inappropriate behavior, or lack of progress. Identifying these early on can help you decide whether to continue with the current practitioner or look for someone else.
- Raise any issues As a client, you have the right to ask your therapist/coach about their practice, qualifications, style, and approach. This gives the practitioner a chance to clarify things for you, change direction if necessary and provide you with the opportunity to make an informed decision about what is right for you.
- Review your therapy goals Take some time to reflect on your therapy goals and whether they are being met by the particular practitioner. If you feel your practitioner is not helping you achieve your goals, it may be a sign that you need to address this with them or consider finding someone better suited to your needs.
- Consider changing practitioners Your wellbeing is the top priority. If your concerns are not addressed satisfactorily, it may be best to seek a different practitioner who meets the standards you expect. This ensures you receive the quality of care necessary for your mental health and personal growth.
- Feedback We value your feedback on your experience with Unmind Talk. You are invited to complete a feedback survey to share your thoughts on the therapy and your practitioner. Your feedback is crucial as it helps us recognize areas of strength and identify opportunities for improvement. We share this feedback with our practitioners to foster continuous growth and ensure we provide you with the best possible support.
