Who Can Benefit from Unmind Talk?
If your organization offers Unmind Talk as part of its benefits package, you have access to our platform and can book a session with our dedicated therapists and coaches.
Unmind Talk is committed to celebrating and supporting people from all walks of life. We embrace diversity in all its forms, including gender, age, ethnicity, sexuality, and religion, ensuring that everyone feels welcomed and valued.
Unmind Talk could be helpful for you if:
- You want to talk to someone about your feelings or difficult things happening in your personal or work life.
- You want to develop greater self-awareness, see different perspectives, or grow personally and professionally.
- You are experiencing mental health difficulties such as low mood, depression, anxiety, stress, panic attacks, sleep problems, or low self-esteem.
- You have recently experienced a significant life event or transition such as a relationship breakup, bereavement, relocation, or received a physical health diagnosis.
- You want to improve your relationships, whether at work or at home.
- You are struggling at work with stress, burnout, working relationships, or giving presentations.
- You want to find balance in your life.
- You want some dedicated time to focus on yourself.
It’s a common misconception that therapy is only for people with serious problems. Many people can benefit from therapy and coaching for various reasons. The ideas above are just a starting point, and there may be other reasons why talking to a therapist or coach could be beneficial. If you are unsure if therapy or coaching is for you, why not give it a try and discuss it with a practitioner?

Who is Unmind Talk Not Suitable For?
Unmind Talk aims to support as many people as possible. However, there are some situations where we may not be able to offer the best support because more specialist, longer term, or intensive care is needed.
Unmind Talk may not be suitable for you if:
You are in crisis or need immediate support
Unmind Talk practitioners do not operate as a crisis service and can’t offer immediate help. If you or others in your life have concerns about your ability to keep yourself safe, or you need immediate help, we recommend seeking immediate and local support as it is crucial to get the right help to ensure your safety.
If you are experiencing violence or abuse from others or are concerned about your safety from others, please see our list of Crisis Hotlines for more information on where you can get immediate or specialist support.
You have mental health conditions that require specialist care
Our team of experienced mental health professionals are well-prepared to support a wide range of mental health needs. However, there are some issues that may require more specialized care or you may need support from different health professionals. Unmind Talk isn't suitable if you have severe or enduring mental health conditions such as:
- Psychosis
- Anorexia
- Bipolar disorder during manic episodes
- Treatment-resistant depression
- Personality disorders that significantly impact your daily life
- Serious substance misuse issues
- Dementia.
You are seeking a formal diagnosis
Our practitioners can provide support with a wide range of difficulties but if you are seeking a formal diagnosis, Unmind Talk practitioners will not be able to offer this. In these cases, please speak to your family doctor, regular health professional, psychiatrist, or a specialist service.
You are seeing another therapist
If you are already receiving mental health support or therapy from another professional, we do not recommend you start therapy with another therapist and have two therapists at the same time. If you are unhappy with your current therapist, we recommend talking to them about this and discussing your options before starting with someone else.
You are under 18
Unmind Talk is currently designed for adults and is not suitable for individuals under the age of 18.
