Do I have access to Unmind Help?
Unmind help integrates the most important aspects of an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with our full spectrum of preventative employee wellbeing support. Please see more about the services below:
Unmind Help Services
Immediate Support
Speak with someone for immediate support whenever you need it
You might call the 24/7 helpline if:
- Feeling suddenly overwhelmed
- Feel unable to cope
- Feel so distressed that you don’t know what to do
- Need to talk to someone right now
- You are unsure what support you need
When not to call this helpline:
If you have a medical emergency or are at imminent threat then please call your local emergency services.
Calls are confidential and answered by trained staff. The majority of calls are answered within 30 seconds. You’ll be asked questions to understand how you’re feeling and what kind of support you’re looking for. They can provide advice, help you to find ways to move forward, get further support or suggest ways of coping.
If you’re seeing a therapist through Unmind Talk, it may be helpful to share in your next session that you’re struggling or that you’ve called the helpline so they can suggest some strategies to support you too. Please note the Talk therapists are not available for immediate support.
Financial and Legal Support
You might call the helpline if:
- You need assistance with financial concerns including bankruptcy, budgeting, debt, financial aspects of separation and divorce and much more.
- You need help and information on legal issues such as consumer advice, debt advice, financial law, motoring offences, wills and probate, criminal law, family law, medical law, personal injury and neighbour disputes.
Calls are confidential and answered by trained staff. The majority of calls are answered within 30 seconds. Appointments may not be immediate and financial and legal services may differ by region.
Legal support is limited to one call per legal issue each per year.
Manager Support
You might call the helpline if:
- You’re a managers looking for support with work-related issues and situations
- You’re feeling anxious about a meeting or presentation
- You’re concerned about an employee or group of employees
- You need support around how to have a difficult conversation
- You want to know how to help a grieving employee
- You need support in managing a workplace conflict
Calls are confidential and answered by trained staff. The majority of calls are answered within 30 seconds. In your conversation, you’ll receive advice and expertise. Together, you’ll explore options, brainstorm solutions and work on an action plan.
This service does not replace your company’s existing internal HR processes and protocols but to provide additional support and resources.
The availability of the service may vary by country, including the hours of operation.
Care for others
You might call the helpline if:

If your family member is over the age of 18 they can call in themselves to access support. If your child is under 18 then you can call the helpline to get information on how we can help you navigate to the correct support.

You need support with Childcare or Parenting, such as finding a nursery or childminder, navigating becoming a working parent, or how to navigate school systems.

You need to support your parents or elders, such as finding groups or activities for a parent, navigating the emotional impact of becoming a carer or having multi-generations in the same household.

You need support in your relationship or Couples Counselling. This includes general relationship issues, separation and divorce, intimacy issues, conflict resolution and communication issues.

You need to support other people with mental health concerns
Calls are confidential and answered by trained staff. The majority of calls are answered within 30 seconds. You can get advice and expertise across a broad range of issues that might affect you or your family.
For under-18s, the minimum age of support varies by country. We may not directly be able to provide support depending on your child's age and location
Where not possible or clinically appropriate we would recommend other support options, such as family doctor, school or local support

In-person Support
You might call the helpline if:
- You are looking for face-to-face counselling or therapy sessions
