Why is Unmind conducting research?
Unmind is a digital workplace mental health platform powered by psychological science and research. In order to ensure that Unmind has maximum impact, we are committed to continuously evaluating the efficacy of the platform in real-world workplace settings. To do this, we partner with an organisation, invite employees to use the platform, and ask them some questions about their mental health and wellbeing over time. Results from these studies help us to understand how Unmind works for users.
Why am I being asked to take part?
If you have received an invitation to take part in an Unmind Research study, your employer has partnered with Unmind. Alongside the rollout of Unmind as a benefit across your company, you will be given the opportunity to participate in a research study to evaluate the platform. This will also help your employer to understand how Unmind works for you and your colleagues.
What will I be asked to do?
If you decide to participate, you will be asked to use the Unmind platform, and answer some additional surveys that will be sent to you via email from a secure data collection platform. The surveys should take less than 15 minutes to complete each time. Please refer to the Unmind Research information sheet sent to you by your employer for the exact amount of surveys you will be asked to complete.
Will my employer have access to the data I provide?
No, never. The survey answers you provide as part of the research study are handled entirely by Unmind Research. We will never share identifiable information about you and your mental health with your employer. A written report will be shared with your employer at the end of the study, which will contain anonymous, aggregate data only.
Do I have to take part?
No. You will still receive access to Unmind through your employer if you choose to not take part in this research study.
How long do I have to decide if I want to take part?
The typical recruitment period for Unmind Research studies is 2-3 weeks. When we evaluate the impact of Unmind, it is important that we have a measure of your ‘baseline’, that is, your level of wellbeing before you use the platform. This is so that we can effectively evaluate the impact of using the platform on any change in wellbeing that we might detect. For this reason, we need users to sign up to the research study before we roll out Unmind across your company. You will not be able to sign up to the study after the recruitment period has ended.
Will I still get access to Unmind after the study finishes?
Yes. You will get access to Unmind for as long as your employer is partnered with us.
What if I change my mind about participating?
You can contact the Unmind Research team at any time via the Help Centre if you choose to withdraw from the study after you sign up. The team will then delete your data. You will still have access to Unmind if you withdraw from the study.
