All work with our practitioners takes place online, which allows sessions to be accessible for most. While there are many of benefits to online sessions, there are some considerations to think about to ensure that you and your practitioner can get the most out of these.
- Create a quiet and private space: It is essential that you are in a space that is confidential where you can speak freely and maintain focus. If it helps, use headphones to ensure your conversation cannot be overheard.
- Test your technology: Check internet stability, camera and microphone functionality.
- Communicate technical issues: Inform your practitioner of technical difficulties promptly. Establish a backup plan in case of persistent issues such as switching to phone or other agreed methods prior.
- Be punctual: Treat online therapy/coaching appointments with commitment. Be ready early to avoid technical delays.
- Reflections before and after the session: Take a few minutes before and after your session to reflect and think about what you want to talk about, and how you will apply what you’ve learnt.
Please discuss any accessibility needs you may have so that your practitioner can best make adaptions to ensure you have a good experience of therapy/coaching.
